Separate durable equipment from consumables

Assign value to kettles, mills, stainless fermenters, kegs, quality cappers and supported controllers. Treat old tubing, scratched buckets, unknown seals and opened chemicals as zero or replacement-cost items.

Request evidence that matches the equipment

For electric systems, ask for power and heating demonstrations. For pumps, ask for operation. For kegs, ask whether they hold pressure. For regulators, inspect gauges and threads. Photos should show interiors, data plates, fittings and damage, not only the assembled front view.
